If you are looking for a luxurious, modern beach resort with top notch customer service and the best amenities and scenery that money can buy, well look no further because Moon Palace Jamaica in Ochos Rios, Jamaica is a very special place. Guests will feel like royalty with an ‘all inclusive’ package. I have traveled quite a bit in my lifetime and I was very impressed.

From the moment I got off the airport shuttle, arranged by the hotel (nice touch by the way), I walked into an oasis of pure bliss in paradise. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a cool damp towel, which was much needed. As I walked through the clear doors and inside the resort, Stacey was there to greet me with a cool and delicious refreshment (well, I had a few). I let her know that I was getting hungry and she quickly brought me lunch (grilled cheese, my favorite quick eat). Talk about a welcome, and by the way, this is all within 10 minutes of my arrival (I’m still in the lobby). As I approach the front desk, I felt a sense of calm. The check-in process was quick and easy, and once you’re done the concierge will give you a fresh rose (aww, insert smile). There is complimentary wireless internet 24/7 on the entire grounds, and you can also use the computers at the resort, with no fuss (AMEN).

My suite was spacious compared to other hotels I have stayed in. The bed and sheets were quite cozy, too bad I only slept in my bed about 3 hours per night due to all the excitement. The private bathroom and shower was spotless, and to my surprise CHI bath products and a CHI hair dryer/flat iron were there for use (how did they know I love CHI? LOL). My room had a view of the ocean, and yes, the views were breathtaking, I mean it is paradise. If that was not enough, there was a bottle of champagne and a plate of fresh fruit in my room (another nice touch).

I dined at a few of the restaurants (La Gondola, Momo, and Pier 8 are a must). I have food allergies and I’m a picky eater (go figure), but I was very pleased with the food. I had to make a few minor adjustments, but I did not have to make any reservations. After dinner, I would work my way over to Noir Nightclub until the early hours. It’s a nice club, not too crowded, the bartenders were polite, and a good DJ too.

The beach is only steps away. You can literally wake up and walk right into the tranquil Caribbean Sea. On the beach I met a friendly employee by the name of Jerome who took very good care of the group I was traveling with. There were 9 of us total, all smart boss women with entrepreneur spirits. We ordered food, cocktails, and desserts until our hearts were content. Everything was delivered to us right on the beach while lounging under the Caribbean sun. The customer service is the best I have ever experienced at a resort. However, my favorite part of my stay was the WET POOL BAR. I could have stayed there the entire time, and when I return I will. Fun bar staff, and I met travelers who were just as happy as I was. I mean, you cannot help but feel blessed to be able to have the opportunity to stay at such a gorgeous resort, while sipping on cocktails (try the Bob Marley), listening to music, and watching the sunset. Overall, I was feeling over the moon. Ya Mon!
