Nick Foles’ NFL career has been a virtual roller coaster. When he was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round, he was projected to be a developmental prospect. He then flourished under Chip Kelly’s quick-play offense to the tune of 27 touchdown passes and only 2 interceptions. For that historic effort, he was traded to the St. Louis Rams. His  tenure under Coach Fisher’s led Rams was the worst time of his career. He even thought about retiring. He later joined Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs for one year. That’s when it all changed. Foles was sent back to Philadelphia via trade.
Since Foles departed the Eagles, the team drafted its franchise quarterback of the future in Carson Wentz. Acquiring Foles was more of a back up role in case of injury. Unfortunately, Wentz got hurt during the 2018 regular season. His injury created an opportunity for Foles to showcase his talents. He flourished. Foles went on a magical playoff run to where he lead the Eagles to its first Super Bowl win by defeating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. He now has legend status (St. Nick) in Philadelphia for the foreseeable future.
The following season, the team turned the keys back over Carson Wentz once he was healthy enough to play. He got off to a rocky start and Eagles was were essentially out of the playoff picture. Unfortunately, Wentz had another season ending injury. Foles was called up for duty. His stellar play got the team into the playoffs with a road win over Chicago and nearly defeated New Orleans.
In the offseason, the team made a decision to go with Carson Wentz as their quarterback of the present. There was growing tension in the locker-room as many teammates gravitate towards Foles as his play and overall demeanor led the team to a Super Bowl and back to playoffs when defending its title. The team ultimately let Foles test free agency and he was swooped up quickly by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars has a perineal playoff caliber team with a delinquency at the quarterback position. The Jaguars are hoping that Foles can bring stability which will help the franchise push towards the covenant Super Bowl title. Will he be able to do it? Time will tell.
