AF: How did you get started in the modeling industry?
TVS: When I was 17, a make up artist asked me if I was interested in a photo shooting. We scheduled it for a few months after when I was already 18. Once I received the pictures, I applied to a model agency and they signed me. Right after I started going to castings and booking jobs. A year later I started working internationally.
AF: What were some of your early inspirations?
TVS: Gisele Bindchen was the model who inspired me the most. I remember watching her on Brazilian tv channels and wondering how glamorous her life was and how successful she already was at young age. Until today, I am a huge fan. And I also always loved Naomi Campbell for always wearing flawless hair.
AF: What were some obstacles you face early on in your career?
TVS: When I started my international career, I was still very new to the modelling world. I trusted everybody and thought everybody says the truth. I met some people that were mean to me, but I also met some great people that contributed to many good things in my life and with who I am in touch until today. At the end, it was all worth it and I am thankful for the experience I made.
AF: What part of Brazil are you from? Tell us some of things to do there?
TVS: I was born in Salvador Bahia in Brazil, but moved with my mother to Germany at the age of 6. Since then, I visit Brazil on a yearly basis and always discover new places. Its a beautiful country and I love spending time there with childhood friends and family.
AF: What are your thoughts on Capoeira?
TVS: I was really into Capoeira when I was a kid. Even when I moved to Germany I continued with my classes. But unfortunately, I broke my arm at the age of 10 while training and never returned. But I have a few family members that still do it in Brazil and every time I have the chance to go watch them while Im there, I go. The best part was the nickname they gave me, Barbie.
AF: Tell us about Ambrósia.
TVS: I have been developing Ambrósia for a long time. After gaining almost 10 years of experience in the hair extensions industry in my families hair salons in Brazil and Germany, I started developing my own factory india to have total control of our hair quality. Once I decided to start my own business, my family totally supported me and we are working together. Soon we will launch and any woman can love her hair again.
AF: What’s the next focus in your career?
TVS: The next focus in my life is my studies. I will be attending university later this year aiming a degree in Global Entrepreneurship and I am so excited about the new direction my life is going.
