London Arrington

As the American dream corrodes away for many in the face of political and social chaos, young London Arrington’s uptick in the acting world is an enviable testament to the wealth of talent some children naturally have and few have the opportunity to exploit.

From digital audition submissions on topics that range from dragons and the supernatural to roles focused on cool kids and classwork, Arrington, better known as Londy, knows it’s never too early to move from dreaming to doing.  At age nine, the emerging talent delighted in a breakout role on FOX TV’s hit show v‘Empire’ playing a young Loretha “Cookie” Lyon.  The young actress, already familiar with the show, reveled in the dream come true.  Who is to say if it was a combination of talent and luck that landed Londy a series regular role on the hit television series after her first taping.

When she is not attending school or prepping for ‘Empire’, Londy is also a budding philanthropist having walked for international designer Nzingha in a fashion show benefitting autoimmune awareness.  After opening the two-day show at MACY’s with a musical performance, Londy strode the catwalk for kids cloaked in hip cultural garb.

With parents just as excited for the windows of opportunity as Londy is, they have even more to celebrate with an upcoming role on ‘Mindhunters’, a Netflix original series.  As a Generation Z talent, Londy may not yet realize the impeccable timing for kindling a relationship with Netflix who is reported to have 60 million subscribers in 2015.  As she’s already discovered, one breakthrough may beget others.

As if school, being a kid, and mega success weren’t enough, Londy is a brand ambassador for David Ford Optical Kids wear.  She has her eye on design and looks to launch “LondyWear” in a partnership with Ford in April of 2017.  Londy won’t miss a career beat, but she also has her sights on an anti-bullying campaign against visually impaired kids and those who wear eyeglasses.
