Spicy Pineapple Margarita

Spicy Pineapple Margarita is a popular party cocktail for Cinco de Mayo. This traditional drink always has a kick because of its sweet and spicy flavor, which makes it feel so fresh and tropical. Grab your fresh and vivid Spicy Pineapple Margarita, the ideal flavor for those who enjoy spicy cocktails.

INGREDIENTS:                   Yield: 4 Cocktails

  • 6 oz Blanco Tequila, Espolòn
  • 2 oz Cointreau
  • 6 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 3 oz fresh Lime Juice
  • 4 Jalapeños, thin slices
  • ¼ cup Ice cubes
  • 1 oz Agave Nectar (Optional adjust to taste)

 INSTRUCTIONS:

• Rim four glasses with a fresh lime wedge, then dip them in a plate of Tajín.

• As an alternative, thoroughly coat the glasses’ rims with traditional coarse sea salt.

• The combination of the two will be excellent. Or completely omit the cocktail rim. Serve immediately.

• In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle jalapeño slices with lime juice to release flavor and spiciness.

• Tailor to your spice preference.

• Add the tequila, pineapple juice, and cointreau.

• Fill cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Secure the cover and shake briskly for 10-15 seconds, until thoroughly cold.

• Add fresh ice cubes to the glasses that have been prepared. The Margarita mixture should be divided among the glasses.

• Garnish with pineapple leaves, pineapple wedges, lime wedges, or additional jalapeño slices as desired.

 • Serve with a straw for stirring.

Notes –

Coarse Kosher Salt: An excellent option for a salt rim.

Blanco Tequila: Is required since it provides the smooth, somewhat sweet, tangy, and spicy flavor of a classic Margarita.

Other Tequilas that would be suitable are LALO Blanco, Milagro, Cimarron, Altos, Corralejo, Don Julio, and Casamingos Blanco.

Cointreau: Adds a delicate, sweet, and clean orange flavor that helps balance the strong jalapeño and acidic lime. However, if you don’t have Cointreau, you can use Triple Sec instead.

Pineapple Juice: Is the highlight of this cocktail. To achieve the greatest results, use only 100% pineapple juice.

Lime Juice: For best results, I suggest using fresh lime juice. Look for ReaLime if you’re using bottled lime juice.

Fresh Jalapeño Slices: These will enhance the cocktail’s flavor and spice levels. Jalapeño has a wonderful peppery, finishing flavor and is not an overbearing spice. To reduce the heat, remove the seeds.

Jalapeño and tequila pair well with Spicy Margaritas.

Agave Nectar: This flavor adds a refreshing, well-balanced taste.

Ice cubes: Cool the Spicy Pineapple Margarita rapidly and make it feel extra refreshing when served.

Don’t use crushed ice for this Margarita because it over-dilutes the drink, making the spice murky.

Tajin or Salt: These two ingredients are required for a Spicy Margarita. If you’re feeling upscale, consider adding a unique rim to your glass.

Lime Wedges: These give artistic appeal to cocktails and can be squeezed for an extra burst of fresh lime juice.

Pineapple Wedges: Makes a lovely garnish and also serves as a small snack as you sip your beverage.

Pineapple Leaves: An excellent way to elevate your tropical drink. The pineapple leaves complement the fruit nicely, transforming ordinary cocktails into a professional-looking appearance.

Fresh Mint: Enhances the fiery jalapeño margarita’s presentation. For more mint taste, you could also gently muddle some fresh mint in the bottom of your margarita glass.

Cheers!
