This year has been one of the most memorable in recent years. Perhaps, it’s been the most defining year of the country for over a half century. With the coronavirus still being thorn in the side from an emotional and economic standpoint, there still seems to be no end in sight. We are all hoping on a quick solution, but we have been waiting for nearly a year. With the death toll tallying in hundreds of thousands and millions affected by this virus, the citizens of the country are continuously loosing hope. The citizens has seen the nation’s economy take a downward spiral. Stores have close with no intents to reopen. Major brands like Victoria Secrets and JC Penny’s have shut down a significant amount of stores or completely went out of business. This pandemic is one-third of this year’s storyline.

The second critical moment of 2020 is the shift and focus on racial injustice for African-Americans. The untimely deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and others at the hands of law enforcement sparked a countrywide protest. Everyone from professional athletes, politicians to actors and musical artist chimed in on this subject. The fact that George Floyd’s murder was caught on film via social media and seen by millions, a loud voice from both the Africa-American and white community demanding justice has been heard by all who would listen. Like the coronavirus, this seems to be an ongoing country issue. It doesn’t look like it’s going away as their seems to be an unarmed African-America killed by law enforcement every week. Both of these hot topic items segue into this year’s most defining factor; the United States presidential election.

On November 3rd, the country’s future will be on full display.
Whether a person is voting for President Trump for re-election or casting their ballot for former Vice President Joe Biden, the entire country will be divided. Dubbed as the most important election of modern times, we encourage all to vote for their candidate as they fight for the future of the United States of America.
