She sat down with Industry Rules to discuss her promising career:
AF: What was the motivation in getting involved in being an influencer and model?
Eva: I’ve always loved self-expression through fashion, beauty, and lifestyle, and social media gave me the perfect platform to connect with people who share those passions. Becoming an influencer and model felt natural because it allowed me to showcase my creativity while also inspiring others to embrace their confidence and individuality. On top of that, I’m a single mom just trying to give my son the world, and building this career is one of the ways I’m creating better opportunities for us.
AF: Coming from the Dominican Republic and now living in the Tristate area, what has been the most challenging in changing countries and cultures? How were you able to overcome those challenges?
Eva: The most challenging part was adjusting to the pace and expectations of life here. The Tristate area is fast-moving, competitive, and very different from the warmth and rhythm of the Dominican Republic. At first, it felt overwhelming, but I overcame it by staying true to my roots while also embracing new opportunities. Finding community and staying grounded in my culture gave me strength while learning to adapt helped me grow.
AF: Who has been your biggest critic? How did you implement that criticism into your career?
Eva: Honestly, my biggest critic has been myself. I tend to push myself hard, sometimes doubting if I’m doing enough. Instead of letting that hold me back, I’ve used it as motivation to keep improving, stay disciplined, and remain focused on my goals.
AF: With a young and budding career, what has been your most memorable moment?
Eva: My most memorable moment so far was being recognized publicly for the first time by someone who followed my journey online. It made me realize the impact I was having and reminded me that my voice and presence matter. Moments like that fuel me to keep going, not just for myself, but also to show my son that anything is possible with hard work.
AF: What’s next for you and your career?
Eva: I’m excited to continue building my brand, collaborating with fashion and lifestyle companies, and expanding my presence in the modeling and influencer space. Outside of that, I’m also proud to be an Airbnb host in Miami, Florida, which allows me to share beautiful experiences with people from all over the world. Most importantly, I’m focused on creating a future that provides stability and opportunity for my son. Everything I do is with him in mind.
